MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS
ACTIVE: Pediatric dentists, practicing or teaching or researcher
inside Florida, and member of AAPD.
INTERNATIONAL: Pediatric dentists, practicing or teaching or
researcher outside the United States, and member of AAPD.
LIFE: Active member for 20 consecutive years, aged 65 or older,
still qualify for Active membership,
paid up on all dues and assessments.
ASSOCIATE: Pediatric dentists that do not live in Florida, OR, a
diplomate or board-eligible dentist of another ADA recognized specialty, OR, a general practitioner who treats children as a part of his/her practice and has interests consistent with the mission of the FAPD. Ped. Dents living in the US are members of the AAPD. If outside the US, are on
active duty with one of the US Uniformed Services.
RETIRED: Retired, not practicing part-time, not receiving pay to
teach or as an administrator, all previous dues and assessments are paid in full.
STUDENT: Full-time or part-time postdoctoral student in a
pediatric dentistry program accredited by the ADA or its foreign equivalent.
AFFILIATE: All others whose interests are consistent with the
mission of the FAPD.
HONORARY: Not otherwise
eligible for membership, and have made outstanding contributions to pediatric dentistry. Proposed by 2 active or life members, voted on by the Membership and Credentials Committee (unanimous) and the BOD (unanimous), and the membership (majority.)
AWARD
OF MERIT:
Active,
life or honorary member and has made outstanding contribution to the art,
science or literature of dentistry (ped. dent. not stated.) CV submitted
to the BOD which proposes no more than one candidate per year to the
membership for 2/3 vote.
